customize OperaMini 4.2LABS HUI145 Splash screen

REQUIREMENTS:   ( NOTE: IF U UNABLE TO SEE IMAGES THEN OPEN IT IN SEPARATE WINDOWS)

- YOU
- PC (Windows XP or later)
- Winrar
- OperaMini 4.2HanderLabsUI145
- PortableHxD (hex editor)
- Image (your picture, in .png or .jpg format)
- LiteHexEditorLitemint

PREREQUISITES:

A1. Install the Winrar on your PC.  (DOWNLOAD ALL THINGS FROM ABOVE BLUE LINK)
A2. Download HxD and OperaMini4.2HUI145
A3. OpenOperaMini 4.2HanderLabsUI145,and drag out the v file

MODDING PART:

1. Open the YourImage.png and v file in Hxd
2. Click the YourImage.png Tab, press Ctrl+A (to select all). Then hit Ctrl+C (to copy).

3. Click the v file Tab, press Ctrl+F (Find), in the Search for: type in png, hit Enter then press F3


In the Text Column, highlight ¡ëPNG all the way to IEND®B`‚,watch closely to the Lenght Indicator, it must be 316C.


4. Hit Ctrl+V (paste), the Hex and Text column, the texts will bered.

5. Locate your Image then Right Click it, then click Properties. Remember the File size(byte size)

Now Open SplashHexEditorLitemint, put the file size of your Image, on the red text box . Click Calculate.

6. On the HxD, scroll all the way up, we are going to replace these reference value with the values calculated with LiteHexEditorLitemint.Just type in the values in the reference value; start 59 C0 until to7F 11)

Place your cursor before 59 C0, then begin to replace the calculations. Place it nicelyJimmy.


Question: What if my calculation has 5 Digits? Like 16752?


Answer: Just start placing it on the 0 before the reference value, the placement will be 00 59 C0 = 01 67 52

7. Once done, hit Ctrl+S(Save), close Hxd.


8. Now you will notice in the folder there will be v.bak, just ignore it


.9. Drag back the edited v file on Winrar.

Q:Why did my splash screen is all white?
A:Check your hex editing, make sure that all values are correct. Or your image might be too large.

Q:What is the desired filesize of the Image?
A:Make it below 100kb in size, you can optimized the file sizes using PnGauntlet or PngOut.

Q:Can I reedit the Operamini with modified splash screen?
A:You can, but its advisable that you must have the fresh v file.

Q:Can I use my phone to edit the splash screen?
A:Yes, but that is a different story.

If your a phone modder, using ClassEditor on your phone, highlight your Image, then get its value and convert it into Hex, then put the Hex Value on the ExzHexEditor and calculate Earn upto Rs. 9,000 pm checking Emails. Join now!
